Regional Australia is on the frontline of Australia’s housing challenge. Rental availability in many country towns is below 0.1% and new housing development has not kept up with population growth. The Albanese Government is overhauling Australia’s housing legislation architecture, but will it meet the current and future needs of regional Australia or are the regions a risk of (again) being a victim of a one-size-fits-all approach.
Hot on the heels of the Federal Budget, NRPC Committee member and SMH journalist, Mike Foley will lead a discussion, at the National Press Club on what’s needed with a panel of experts, including:
